The scale

How the 1–10 scale works

Ratings follow a bell curve: most people land near the middle, and every point above 6 gets rarer. Tap a tier to see what it means.

The statistical average, where most people land. Ordinary features with minor flaws.

What we measure

10 metrics behind every rating

The same proportions used in facial-aesthetics research, measured from 478 landmark points.

01

Facial symmetry

How closely the left and right halves of your face mirror each other across 220 landmark pairs.

02

Canthal tilt

The angle from the inner to the outer corner of each eye. A slight upward (positive) tilt reads as alert and attractive.

03

Facial width-to-height

Cheekbone width divided by the height from brow to upper lip. Higher values read as more robust and dominant.

04

Jaw-to-cheek ratio

Jaw width at the angle compared with cheekbone width. Wider reads as masculine; a gentle taper reads as feminine.

05

Midface ratio

Distance between your pupils compared with the height from pupils to upper lip. A compact midface (≈1.0 or higher) is considered ideal.

06

Facial thirds balance

Lower third (nose base to chin) compared with the middle third (brow to nose base). Close to 1.0 means balanced thirds.

07

Chin-to-philtrum ratio

Mouth-to-chin height compared with nose-to-mouth height. Around 2× is the classic ideal; a stronger chin scores higher.

08

Eye spacing

The gap between your eyes compared with the width of one eye (the 'rule of fifths').

09

Nose width

Nostril-wing width compared with the gap between your inner eye corners. Ideally the nose fits within that gap.

10

Lip ratio

Lower-lip height compared with upper-lip height. Roughly 1.6 : 1 is the classic ideal.

Our mission

Helping young people glow up the healthy way

Too many young people get feedback on their looks from cruel comment sections and extreme forums. TrueChad was built to be the opposite: honest numbers, explained clearly, paired with habits that actually work.

Your face is still developing into your early 20s. What you do now (sleep, skin, fitness, posture, confidence) matters far more than any single score.

Honest
Real numbers on a real scale. No flattery, no cruelty.
Healthy
Only safe, natural improvements. Never risky shortcuts.
Private
Your photo stays on your phone. Your data stays yours.
FAQ

Questions, answered

How accurate is my rating?

It's a geometric estimate built from 10 well-known facial proportions. Lighting, camera angle and expression all shift results a little, and it can't see things that matter a lot in real life: skin, hair, style, body, voice or personality. Use it to spot strengths and track trends, not as a final verdict.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The face-mesh model runs on your device. We only send the positions of 478 landmark points to our server so the score can't be tampered with, and we store just the resulting numbers. Never the image.

Why do I need an account?

So your scan history and progress stay private to you, and to stop bots from abusing the scanner. You can sign up with Google or with email (we verify it).

Can I actually improve my score?

Yes. Several metrics respond to body fat, puffiness, posture and grooming. Bone structure is mostly genetic, but faces keep developing into your early 20s, so the habits you build now matter more than any single scan.

What do Chad, Chadlite and normie mean?

They're community slang for points on the scale. A normie is anyone in the average range (4–6), Chadlite/Stacylite is a 6, and Chad/Stacy is model tier (8+). We use them because that's how the community talks, not as labels for anyone's worth.

Is this the PSL scale?

It's the same bell-curve idea. Older forum versions used 0–8; we use the more intuitive 1–10, where 5 is the statistical average.

How old do I need to be?

You need to be at least 13 to create an account.

What if my score makes me feel bad?

Your rating measures a few ratios on one photo. It doesn't measure you. If you notice yourself checking your appearance constantly or feeling down about it, take a break from rating apps and talk to someone you trust: a friend, parent, school counselor or doctor.
